Normal arrival from Europe by air with final destination Cape Town.

From the airport you should hire a car (please book in advance). There are plenty of car hire companies. An absolute must is a satellite navigation system. You have the choice of renting one with your car or taking your own mobile system with maps of South Africa or an app on your smartphone.

Paarl is easy to find from Cape Town Airport:

» Journey (Google Maps)

• Drive via Motorway N2 and R300 to Motorway N1. Follow the Motorway N1 until Exit » 55 Paarl „Main Road“.
• Drive left on Main Street for about 5 km. Attention, the street makes a » Right-Left-Kink (Google Maps).
• After this Kink you’re on the Main Road. Follow the road for about 2 km. You’ll find the House on the » left side (Google Maps):

Grocery shopping

Nearby you’ll find a large supermarket (Checkers). You’ll find everything you need here.
Turn left onto the Main Road. You’ll find » Checkers (Google Maps) after a short drive/walk on your left (opposite “Tafelberg Meubles”).

Dining

Paarl has a good variety of restaurants. From steakhouse to Italian to Asian, you’ll find it all.

Vineyards

There are more than 200 vineyards to choose from in the region. Some of the most famous vineyards are located in Paarl, but please taste for yourself what you like best.
